Former Acting FDA Commissioner, Program Lecturer
Dr Janet Woodcock recently retired from the FDA after more than 30 years of service. Throughout her career she held several high-level positions including Director (Head) of CDER, acting Commissioner, and Therapeutic Lead of Operation WARP Speed. Immediately prior to her retirement she led the reorganization of FDA impacting 8,000 employees. Dr Woodcock is by many seen as the leading quality thinker of this century. She launched GMP for the 21st Century which led to FDA joining PIC/S and the development of the ICH Q8-11 Quality guidelines series.
